What are Pearly Bites
Pearly Bites are toothpaste tablets, not paste: little chewable bites that turn brushing into something kids actually want to do. Pop one in, chew it up, and it foams into toothpaste right there in their mouth, ready to brush. No squeezing a tube, no mess, no fighting over how much is "too much." They come in two flavours, Strawberry and Buttermint, so there's a good chance one clicks with even the fussiest brusher.
They're made for ages 3 and up, contain fluoride, and help remineralise little teeth, so you're not trading fun for function. They're also SLS-free, which matters for sensitive mouths and parents who read labels. Pop. Chew. Brush. Smile. That's really the whole idea: fewer brushing battles, more kids who actually look forward to it.
What does Pearly do?
Every Pearly Bite is doing three jobs at once, even though it just feels like a fun little chew. First, there's hydroxyapatite, the mineral teeth are actually made of. As kids brush, it gets to work rebuilding and remineralising weak spots in the enamel, basically feeding the tooth what it needs to repair itself. Then fluoride steps in as the shield, strengthening enamel further and protecting against the decay that all that sugary snacking can cause. And xylitol rounds it out; a natural sweetener that also helps starve the bacteria behind cavities, so it's working against decay even between bites.
So it's not just a novelty format to get kids on board (though it definitely helps with that). Underneath the fun, Pearly Bites are doing real work: remineralising, protecting, and defending; every single time they brush. Pop. Chew. Brush. Smile., and their teeth are getting stronger while they do it.
Who made Pearly Bites
Pearly Bites was built by two parents, Kara and Sam Penfold, who got tired of the nightly brushing battle and decided to actually fix it instead of just living with it. It's not a big faceless company; Kara and Sam are the ones who started it, tested it on their own kids, and still run it day to day from Wales.
They didn't do it alone, though. Behind every tablet is a team of dentists and scientists who worked with them on the formulation, making sure it's not just fun but genuinely effective. Properly remineralising, properly protective, and safe for little teeth. It took years of development to get the format and the science right before a single tablet reached a child's mouth. So Pearly Bites is equal parts parent instinct and real dental science, made by people who live the brushing battle every night, backed by people who understand teeth inside and out.
